about aiode, dr. moonjuice & the moon
Aiode is a creative partnership between Nicholas Russell and Christopher Postill. The project produces primarily music; but also video, installation art and literature based around a core set of shared interests. These interests include space, deep introspection and ephemeral grouches. The pair is based out of Toronto, Canada.
The project has been around since 1998, producing sporadic releases every year or so. The members write, record, produce & distribute everything themselves, reaching out often to collaborate with other musicians & artists.
As part of their second full-length album, Aiode created Dr. Moonjuice. He is a doctor of natural sciences who has spent his entire life living on the moon, unaware of the existence of human beings.
When astronauts stumbled into his backyard on an expedition, they brought him back to earth as a consultant on the project to relocate all the animals from Earth to the moon
(in order to create more space for us to building things). The good doctor does however suffer from a condition referred to as "Mumble Mouth" which causes his words to jumble up
