Just want to let all the loyal fans who are constantly refreshing this page know that we here at DHGB are still thinking about you, and are all anxious to create our second album this Winter. We’ve got like 6 or 7 concept songs already, and we still have lots of lifeforce to tap. mmmmmmmmmmmm

ALBUM RELEASED, Along With Bowels

That bowels part is pretty gross. Sorry… But the rest is true! We worked and played hard over the Christmas break, but the majority of the effort is to be found in the work of Mr. Christopher Postill in his obsessive nurturing of the mixing of this album. In the weeks following our recording stint, Chris has been working tirelessly to try and make Dabe & His Good Buds sound decent enough for human ears. So if you see him, just tap his bum a bit. He’s weird like that.

The end result? WE HAVE AN ALBUM! Chris has made it possible to purchase the songs online with a download, so if you feel like experiencing the Lifeforce in a new and profound way, head on over to the Music section and click the “Buy” button. The cost is a cool five dollars. We would give it to you for free, but believe it or not we had to rent equipment and stuff, which ended up costing cash-money-bling-bling-blang!

The news of the day is that Dabe and His Good Buds will be taking a sabbatical in order to return to their dreary work-a-day lives. Their families are worried that they are becoming ska idealists and that they aren’t “keeping their feet in the sand.” Of course, these things are true, but who cares really? Oh wait, we do because we’re taking a sabbatical. We did.

Where’s Dabe?

I’m afraid the rumours you boys and girls have been hearing are true… Dabe is dead… or is in Alberta, or something. WHATEVER! But anyways, in his abscence I propose we start a new band, with the exact same members. Except it will better without Dabe. We are all relieved to be free from his reign of terror. As for a name, personally, I’m voting on “Scotty D and the Frontier Rangers,” just a suggestion.

Forces of Life Begin to Gather

A portion of Dabe’s good buds gathered this evening to celebrate the lifeforce. Scotty D and James, the now willing bassist, engaged in some joyous ska celebration in anticipation of the full-blown manifestation of DHGB’s true potential. The small session tonight was but a rumbling of the near future, when all of the band will come together in the name of the lifeforce. The universe only felt a tremor at the incomplete reunion, for once all of DHGB organizes its musical prowess into the complete expression of perfect ska, a rippling wave of awesomeness will bring the populace of humanity to its knees, causing them to weep uncontrollably from the joy found in the lifeforce. PICK IT UP!
