Artist Statement
My work is a mash of materials explorations inspired by contemporary issues such as waste management, global warming, and media glamourization. I seem to be attracted to shiny objects, and collect them like a crow to include in paintings and assemblage work that is occaisionally reminiscent of or representing organic matter, creatures and industrial places. An avid recycler, I use almost entirely ‘re-loved’ canvas, boards, fabric, frames and tools.
